Ever since its original reveal, it feels like developer Bungie has struggled to really describe Destiny. It's part FPS and part RPG, but you'll still find people all around the web with unanswered questions. With a PlayStation 4 alpha test running over the weekend and the title's beta launching next month, there's no doubt that many of these queries will be answered in the near future, but until then, you'll have to make do with this seven minute trailer.
Complete with a rousing musical score, the video has Bungie co-founder Jason Jones talk us through the main aspects of the upcoming sci-fi epic. From setting and lore to the game's mechanics, a lot of ground gets covered, and with a little luck, you'll be better informed about Destiny by the time it's over. Also getting some screen time are the release's hefty player customisation options, which include the ability to play as one of three species. Do you feel like you're a little more clued up after watching? Tell us if you want to be a robotic humanoid in the comments section below.

Very very excited for this game, all looks amazing, loving the co op but not sure the comp multiplayer will be any good.
OMG This looks better and better everytimei see a new video!! Can't wait to get hold of this!! It's gonna be Epic!!! Not sure if we gonna be able to make "Crews/Clans" but if we can we should make a Push Square one!!
Dang it looks so friggin good. Hope it gives and gives
Obviously like others cannot wait to play this, this fall there is so meny games to get
Does anyone know how single player friendly this game is? I'm mostly a solo player so I'm hoping that I could still enjoy most of the content. I know it's mostly a multiplayer type game though.
Wow...that was amazing
Wow. So wants. Naow.
@Mathieran I read last year in an interview with the devs that despite all the heavy mp-options and possibilities, Destiny is still also a story-driven Bungie game and that if you don't like to play multiplayer, you can chose to play the story all by yourself and alone. Something along the lines of "We really want people to play the multiplayer, because we think its awesome and adds to the game and we try hard to make all the social stuff as easy and cool as possible, but if that's not your thing, you can still play the game all by yourself."
Was glad to read this, then, because even if I think I'll give at least the co-op mp of Destiny a shot, I'm mostly a solo player as well, so a mp-only game like Titanfall would be a no-buy for me.
Just played a bit of the alpha. I love it.
