Don’t you dare shed a tear for that great, hulking cat-bird just yet, as new Sony Computer Entertainment America president Shawn Layden has reiterated in an interview with Geoff Keighley that The Last Guardian is still in development in Japan. The status of the title was pulled into doubt recently, when IGN reported that the title had been “officially cancelled”. It’s since retracted the story, after the platform holder countered the claims.
“Just interviewed Shawn Layden, new CEO of SCEA,” the GameTrailers TV host wrote on Twitter. “He says that The Last Guardian is in full development in Japan. Unequivocally.” Keighley concluded that the full conversation will be broadcast as part of Spike TV’s live stream, perhaps indicating that the release will not appear during PlayStation’s press conference if the segment is set to run after the Japanese giant’s big show. We’ll find out for sure in a few hours.

It exists alright but for which platform(s)?
@Punished_Boss Definitely PS4, in my opinion.
I believe this will be a PS4 game but I don't think it will be spoke about at this show.
Thanks for the reminder that Spike TV exists. I don't get the channel but their website has some E3 stuff. Don't worry, I'll be back here in 8 1/2 hours.
Very first headline on live Spike E3 coverage: "Sony denies "The Last Guardian" is canceled". Then something unimportant about Titanfall
Jack Tretton all day live for those who miss him. OK enough plugging the competition.
I think they are going to show off the last guardian at this years E3, just watch. Sony is going to pull the bigger guns out to get more PS4 sales. I just don't know where this game is going though, is it going to be an RPG (which is what I would think), is it going to be action/adventure, or it could go the way of heavy rain, I don't know though. I'm quite worried about this game since I have no clue on the direction. If it's going the RPG route, I may get it, if not, I may take this game off my watch list.
