We're all just flesh and blood

Dead Island 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 in mid-2015, Sony announced at its E3 press conference. The gratuitously gory brawler will feature 8 player multiplayer, as well as multiple character classes, and a deep skill system. What's more, if you're playing on the Japanese giant's super system you'll receive as yet unannounced exclusive content.

Interestingly, the new title isn't being developed by series alumni Techland, but rather Yager Development, the studio behind critical darling Spec Ops: The Line. It seems like a bit of an odd choice to us, especially considering the undead franchise's overwhelmingly silly tone, but we're still intrigued to see what the new team can come up with.

Oh, and just so we're clear, the game may be called Dead Island 2, but it is actually the third title in the series. Try to figure that one out. Are you down for some zombie killing action, or has this slightly obnoxious trailer turned you off? Remember to double tap in the comments section below.
