E3 is mere days away at this point, and judging by your comments, the hype train hasn't just left the station, it's been separated from the tracks and is currently jetting off into outer space. With that in mind, we regret to inform you that Media Molecule, the enormously talented studio behind LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway, will not be showing off its PlayStation 4 game at the conference in Los Angeles this year.
"E3 is right around the corner, how exciting," the Guildford-based developer recently said on Twitter. "Sadly, we’re not showing anything this year, but we’re sending high-fives to everyone who is." All we've seen of the secretive project is that one slightly bizarre, but utterly charming, tech demo, which debuted at the super machine's reveal last year. What's more, affable executive Shuhei Yoshida described the title as "mind blowing" when he saw it last July.
In any case, the studio was quick to stress that it will be showing off something special in the near future. "We’ve got a whole lot of fun to show you later, though, and we simply cannot wait," it continued. "So hold on tight, it won’t be too much longer." We're doing our best, Media Molecule – we're doing our best.
Were you excited to see the creative team's new title at E3, or are you happy to wait? Let us know in the comments section below.

GamesCom, then. I'm happy to wait, excited to see what they've been up to.
heh , in the opening sentence are you refering to astrotrain ? (if so google : the 7 most useless transformers ever [and look up #5] )
@get2sammyb - This.
Or Tokyo Games Show?
That was the highlight of E3 for me last year as it was so new and different. Considering all the delayed until 2015 games Sony must have one heck of a super secret cataloge of games if they are doing w/o mM. If something was ready to show last year how can they not have anything ready this year? What have they been doing for 12 months? Unless this has become a VR game.
@rjejr I think this E3 is going to be the worst for Sony. Some say the cancelled SM title was the game for sony for E3
@Sanquine ? Uncharted and Beast Souls already make it a strong E3 IMO
I think we ll see The Last Guardian but Sony should show the games in the work and not keep them for surprise reveal next E3 as they ll be leaked anyway.
Thinking of Santa Monica new game and Bend open world horror game I wish they would show this year
Right now this is looking like a weak E3 for Sony hopefully they actually do have quite a few surprises we don't know about.
@Sanquine - "Some say the cancelled SM title"
Sony was making a Super Mario game
Last year Sony won on the back of Microsoft's evil-but-now-all-reversed DRM stuff. I don't know what MS has this year to offer for X1 but they couldn't possibly come across as bad as last year. Though any new Kinect game will be met w/ "but you just took Kinect OUT" comments.
So I don't know what Sony has to offer, or MS, or Nintendo, but a new Zelda unveil seems likely, so it could be all Nitndo this year, as ridiculous as that seems. MK8 has the fan base reinvigorated. And the SSB tournmanet will get a lot of attention.
Looking back at last year I honestly think that Nintendo had the strongest E3 as they actually showed a plethora of games and didn't waste time making silly jabs.
This sucks i really thought they were going to show more of what there working on at E3 this year @rjejr Knowing mM it probably is a VR game who knows maybe they'll show something at GamesCom @Sanquine From what I've read Sony's conference is going to be awesome https://twitter.com/shinobi602/status/472253794282385408 https://twitter.com/shinobi602/status/472795607791579136 https://twitter.com/shinobi602/status/472499770997895169 https://twitter.com/shinobi602/status/472227000955195393
@Sanquine Cancelled SM title...surely you don't mean Super Mario?
@Jazzer94 Indeed. Watching Sony and Microsoft at E3 last year was like watching Obama and Romney during the presidential debates.
"So hold on tight, it won’t be too much longer."
Gamescom b*tches!
@rjejr Santa Monica?
@kensredemption Santa monica studio's...
@rjejr MK8 pushed hardware sales to a a whooping 18.000 units sold in Japan LOL
@Sanquine - Are you LOLing b/c Wii U sales were triple PS4 sales last week?
Wii U – 19,312 (9,024)
3DS LL – 18,776 (18,374)
PlayStation Vita – 12,859 (14,070)
PlayStation 3 – 6,922 (7,565)
PlayStation 4 – 6,508 (7,543)
Anybody know how many weeks in a row Wii U has outsold PS4? LOL
No Media Molecule at E3 must mean troubled waters for Sony..sky's falling...4 horsemen...fire & brimstone..ya know, doom & gloom
@Sanquine If we are loling at 19000 Wii U console sales what about PS4 which could only get 6500 is that worth a mega lol and also the fact MK8 wiped the floor with SS sales in one week.
@Jazzer94 MK8 was the golden child.. SS is not the so called golden child of the Ps4. LoL
@rjejr Stil LoLing? Sir, i don't game anymore... I just check out stories.. But i know you're a stealth Nintendo fanboy which amuses me
@Sanquine - "stealth Nintendo fanboy which amuses me"
uh, "stealth"? Have you seen my icon avatar picture thingy? It's over there to the left, the one w/ Mario and Princess Peach in the cat suits from SM3DW. Oh, and as much as I've been criticisng Nitneod over the past two years b/c of it's poor handling of the Wii U, NOBODY would call me a fanboy of their's.
And what do you mean you don't game, I thought you're fiance'-girlfriend was buying you a PS4 b/c you bought her a car?
@rjejr We broke up maybe it's karma..
@Sanquine - Oh, sorry to hear that, things seemed to have been going well.
@rjejr Cheated on me six times.. With some friends.. Woman
@Sanquine - If she cheated on you 6 times w/ woman friends then you probably didn't have the correct anatomy for along term relationship
Still gotta suck though.
@rjejr Yeah, i discovered it after we broke up. Indeed, it wasn't meant to be!
