You Can Try Out Call of Duty: Ghosts' Onslaught DLC for Free This Weekend

Posted by Kell Andersen

As free as the wind blows

When they're not releasing vague teaser images of forlorn looking soldiers, the men and women behind the Call of Duty series are creating seasons worth of DLC packs, all with appropriately silly names. And the most recent title in the monolithic franchise is no exception, with four major injections of content slowly making their way onto the game's marketplace.

However, if you've never been one for downloadable extras, you may be glad to hear that you'll be able to access a free trial of the Onslaught pack this weekend on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. This particular add-on includes four new multiplayer maps, an extinction episode, and a brand new gun to play with. Oh, and just so that we're all clear, this is also the DLC that inexplicably features the Predator.

Will you be taking advantage of this free offer? Is this a suitable repayment for the series' continued allegiance to Microsoft hardware? Lock 'n' load in the comments section below.

Bang it on plus, then we'll talk.
That would be the only way to get me on it anyway, and even then I would probably not!

I guess its cool for those that play it though, at least they are giving a very litlle something to their fanbase.

A nice little temporary discount would be much preferred. Or discount the Season Pass for our waiting. But then Microsoft would be butt-chapped.

This is pretty cool. Smart way of letting people try it out and hopefully getting them to purchase the map pack. Fog is a really cool map

I think I'll try this...I hope no one calls me a "free weekender" like on PC.
