Activision may be placing plenty of attention at new property Destiny’s armoured feet, but reports suggest that the publisher is preparing to unveil the next entry in its uber-popular Call of Duty franchise imminently. Articles from both PSU and MP1ST claim that the reveal is on track for next month, which would certainly tally with previous series announcements.

Those of you with sharp minds will recall teasers for Call of Duty: Ghosts popping up around the start of May last year, while its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops II was revealed during the NBA Playoffs way back on 1st May, 2012. The blowouts often precede an E3 gameplay demo, with Sony reportedly in the running to have this year’s entry on its stage.

We don’t have a great deal of intel on the franchise’s latest instalment, but we do know that Sledgehammer Games has been working on it for three years. Last week, a screenshot of one of the shooter’s soldiers was released, hinting at a serious graphical bump over previous entries. Are you looking forward to the developer’s latest first-person foray?
