Activision may be placing plenty of attention at new property Destiny’s armoured feet, but reports suggest that the publisher is preparing to unveil the next entry in its uber-popular Call of Duty franchise imminently. Articles from both PSU and MP1ST claim that the reveal is on track for next month, which would certainly tally with previous series announcements.
Those of you with sharp minds will recall teasers for Call of Duty: Ghosts popping up around the start of May last year, while its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops II was revealed during the NBA Playoffs way back on 1st May, 2012. The blowouts often precede an E3 gameplay demo, with Sony reportedly in the running to have this year’s entry on its stage.
We don’t have a great deal of intel on the franchise’s latest instalment, but we do know that Sledgehammer Games has been working on it for three years. Last week, a screenshot of one of the shooter’s soldiers was released, hinting at a serious graphical bump over previous entries. Are you looking forward to the developer’s latest first-person foray? Speak some soldier lingo in the comments section below.

I really hope we get the early access to this as this WILL kill Xbox, all the competitive COD console players will move to PS4 AND MLGetc will switch to using PS4's
ooohhh happpydayyss
COD: Blacksmith? What an imaginative codename, although i wonder how such a game would turn out.
I hope its Next gen only. I tend to enjoy Call of duty lately. I hope they go back to the WW2 days. And please give a german campaign against the sovjets. No, i don't want to be the bad guy but it would be interesting ( since a part of my family served in the wehrmacht/SS)
I'll still be playing kill zone and ghosts as well as most likely destiny, I think its going to be a massive step up but I don't know how well its gonna do.
@SimonAdebisi
"but I don't know how well its gonna do." Well i do, its going to be gobbled up by the millions of COD fans come November and 24hrs after the debut trailer preorders will be through the roof.
If we are talking about quality, then yeah.
Sir, no Sir. Call of duty is KIA, Sir.
@Dub-Focus Ridiculous comment. Whether you like Microsoft/Xbox or not (can't quite work out, you hide your bias well) killing them off would damage the industry. To thrive we need Microsfot, Sony and Nintendo. Try remembering that.
@rastamadeus Sorry but years of having to wait an Extra month for the Zombie maps really drained me!
its all about Battlefield now, but with a Sony timed Exclusive i think ill defo get the next (3Years in production) Cod game
Looking forward to seeing what it's going to be called, and what the story will be about.
Whats up everyone! Got a ps4 recently and am looking for more people to talk/game with. had the xbox one and switched so most of my friends are on xbox and would love to talk to more people and the next cod will hopefully go back to cod 4 and mw2 days. Add me on PSN: HackettV93
I know it's getting abit boring now ,same old **** every year but I love COD , and I will always buy them .Really looking forward to seeing this a next gen COD
I like the CoD games, but I did skip ghosts. This next one may be a good one, so I can't wait to hear more.
Ghosts campaign was good, the changes in MP were much better but I am more a battlfield guy.
Im sure idTech will look great on new consoles though…chortle chortle.
I think cod should reflect on the good day like cod 4, mw2, black ops, they shouldn't add new features into the game that are crap like there is a billion different perk in ghosts and they also added extinction why ? Keep it simple people will buy your game if it simple easy to play and fast now of this every year changing the game bs
