With the recent announcement of PlayStation 4 firmware update v1.70, Sony also unveiled SHAREfactory, a nifty little application that will let you edit together the clips that you've recorded using the console's robust sharing options. While we reckon that this could become a bit of a cash cow for the company, the prospect of hundreds of Octodad fail videos flooding the Internet obviously has us quite excited.
Handily, one of the talented folks that worked on the software just posted a trailer created using the application that flaunts many of its features. And while the whole thing is a bit twee and cringe-worthy, it does give us a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the full experience. Which is to say, we can anticipate a sea of star wipes and silly captions.
Some of the editing tricks include fancy transitions and effects, as well as what appears to be a feature that will let you lay speech bubbles and other visual gags over the footage. Oh, and you can also superimpose PWND over your clips of inFAMOUS: Second Son if you've ever had the burning desire to do that.
Will you be making use of SHAREfactory, or are you a strictly solo gamer? Do you look forward to the countless clips that are bound to be soon making their way onto YouTube? Let us know in the comments section below.

RE-SO-GUN.
if you make it as cheesey as that then I will not watch your videos ! LOL
I appreciate the function/options and I'm sure we're going to see some sweet, creative videos coming, but this was so cheesy...made me cringe hard. Riiiiidge Racer/Giant Enemy Crab, anyone? This video was like a bad acid flash back from the 90s.
(Not that I have any experience with acid nor would encourage said experience)
Looks perfect for youtube intro's.
This was so cheesy just because of all the random stickers she used. Pause at 1:28 for nightmares
Can't watch video
I always use my ipad for editing as it seems easier too use iMovie weirdly enough...this seems good but I'll judge on the final produc
