Citizens of Earth

Have you ever backed a Kickstarter only to have it fall short of its target goal, never to see the light of day? This was the fate that befell Citizens of Earth, an Earthbound-inspired RPG in which the vice president of the world must save the planet from destruction with the help of ordinary citizens. It seems that this game was destined to not disappear from existence, however, as it's been announced that Atlus will be publishing the release digitally for both the PlayStation 4 and Vita in the second half of 2014.

Unluckily for our hero, the day after he is elected into office the whole world goes crazy. That's a lot of mess for one man to clean up, so this government official does things the only way he knows how – by getting ordinary citizens to do the dirty work for him. There are no heroes to battle for you in this RPG; only classic classes such as a baker, artist, and a homeless guy can save the world now. Alas, if you're eager to see how all of this pans out, check out the teaser trailer embedded below. Are you looking forward to this gem being given a second chance, or is this one game that should never have seen the light of day? Post your votes in the comments section below.
