Choose Your Incredibly Cool Looking Weapon with Freedom Wars' New Japanese Trailer

Posted by Robert Ramsey

Packs a punch

Oversized and ridiculous looking weapons have been a gaming staple for generations now, and PlayStation Vita exclusive Freedom Wars isn't set to change that any time soon. Its new Japanese trailer focuses on the different weapon types that you'll be able to lug into battle, and to be quite honest, we're having a hard time picking out a favourite.

Each appears to be as equally bombastic as the last, from the humble sword to the frankly insane giant square club. To top it all off, they each sport incredibly stylish futuristic designs, as well. We also get to see many of the armament's special moves – some of which look devastating, to say the least. The game will release in the West later this year, but will you have singled out a particular weapon discipline by then? Tell us which one you like the looks of in the comments section below.

Was that a chunk of concrete with rebar sticking out? That's brilliant.
The game looks like a lot of fun, I can't wait!

This looks so damn awesome. Wish they had dual daggers or something similar tho.

Also, that background music was phenomenal

Sword/katana and firearms/rocket launcher is probably my main weapon type, but those other weapons look intriguing.

Short sword with the jets is a must for me. It seems quick, yet versatile enough to destroy the beasts. Im not yet decided on which gun I want to use.
