Bungie’s upcoming sci-fi shooter Destiny is mere months away at this point. While the developer has promised that the first-person shooter will be preceded by a beta, we’re just over four months away from the mega brand making a crash collision with store shelves. And in preparation for that inevitably monumental event, publisher Activision has prepared a brand new website for the game, which pretty much divulges everything you could possibly want to know about the PS4 adventure.
This is one of those sites that will bring anything but a top-of-the-range computer to a crawl, as its backgrounds feature full-motion video and even its hyperlinks are heavily interactive. Still, it looks pretty if you’ve got a PC powerful enough to run Crysis, and actually includes some useful information about the game, its plot, locations, and even lore. You should probably expect to be hearing a lot more about the connected affair over the coming weeks, because this is undoubtedly going to be the ‘next big thing’.

Looking forward to this game...
'Bungie's Next Gen shooter' would be a little more apt.
@kingandaval Indeed
@TheMonkeyBongo @kingandaval We're a Sony centric site — we're going to put 'PS4' anywhere we can!
@ShogunRok of course but it's a multiplatform game so I get his point.
@SanderEvers The word 'pedantic' springs to mind.
@ShogunRok Not forgetting about the PS3, of course.
@ShogunRok That reply...was this good...
Mobile version of the site looks good on my iphone. Seriously pumped for this game!
Yea till it's held back like everything else for "next gen" lol 😪🙈😔
@ShogunRok I thought you only put PS4 in the "tags"
If that doesnt make any sense its possible I have you confused with somebody else.
"requires internet connection" = 99% I won't be getting this game for any system.
That site is not Android tablet friendly using Dolphin. What did work gave me a headache.
@ThreadShadow Isnt this an online only multiplayer shooter? I wear a tinfoil hat as much as anynody, but an online only multiplayer shooter requiring an internet connection doesnt seem like much of a threat to me.
Unless Im thinking of a different game, in which case, nvm.
@MadchesterManc The swastika in the background is the finishing touch... Playstation for worlddominance... Hey playstation what are we doing today>? Conquer the world pinkey!
@rjejr Right. But some form of offline play hadn't been completely ruled out in so many words until now. I'm not going to buy a game that will be useless once the servers go down/offline.
Everyone knew it was going to be online-centric but I think many weren't ruling out hope for a meager offline mode of some sort.
@ThreadShadow As far as I know, Bungie has already confirmed that you can play the entire campaign and story of Destiny in single player, without any online-buddies or strangers messing with your game. They recommend to make use of the multi player features, but you can all ignore them.
And about not being able to play Destiny anymore when the servers will go down eventually: 1st, Bungie seems to be planning to support Destiny for a long time, so we should be good for some years...and 2nd, there's always the possibility to release a patch before the servers are shut off so the game won't require them to run.
I can see where you come from, though...I am not a friend of "always online" and don't play online regularly. I do enjoy the occasional match of Killzone or so, but prefer single player over multi any time of the day. So the ability to enjoy Destiny alone was good for me, although I get the feeling that I might actually want to play some decent co-op with some friends when Destiny launches.
