In news that should surprise absolutely no one, Naughty Dog's survival horror opus The Last of Us is the recipient of yet another prestigious prize. The International Animated Film Society hosts the annual awards show The Annies to recognise the most noteworthy animation in all forms of media, and the much acclaimed PlayStation 3 title managed to bag the prize for the Best Animated Video Game, beating out competitors Diggs Nightcrawler and iOS game Tiny Thief. Presumably the title's impressively subtle cut scenes and facial animations are to thank for this impressive honour.

Before you get too excited, though, spare a thought for Naughty Dog's long suffering trophy cabinet, as the tortured timberware is surely struggling under the weight of the survival horror's seemingly endless parade of awards and accolades.
