There’s not an ounce of Manchester United in EA Sports' soccer simulation FIFA 14 – after all, the multiformat release actually seems capable of stringing a couple of good results together. Yet again, the footy favourite has dribbled to the top of the UK sales charts, mocking the competition like a freshly converted Arsenal supporter for an eighth consecutive week.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag rounded out the top four, while LEGO Marvel Super Heroes soared up a place into fifth. PlayStation 4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall also fired up the charts on the back of more hardware bundles, finishing up in a respectable sixth. Need for Speed: Rivals, Grand Theft Auto V, and the discounted Aliens: Colonial Marines fleshed out the top ten.
As always, you can peruse the full list of movers and shakers through here. Are you shocked by the continued popularity of the beautiful game? Are you desperate for some new releases to shake things up somewhat? Post your analysis of Britain’s best sellers in the comments section below.

No surprises really. I also gave in last week and bought a copy of colonial marines brand new for £3.00 from Game. How can you say no to that.
I would buy more PS4 games but at £50 a go i refuse to :-/
I'm glad to see Shadow Fall in the top 10, it seems to do very well as long as PS4's are in stock.
@BornOfEvil yeah. The UK seems to have a constant re supply of ps4s, there are loads of bundle deals out now. We seem to be fairly lucky post new year, no idea what stock is like everywhere else?
@RyoHazuki As far as I can tell, PS4's are nonexistent in the US. So far, I've only seen one during Black Friday and one sitting on the shelf all alone about 3 weeks ago.
@BornOfEvil we have bundles in stock at Game, Gameseek and Simplygames, pre orders for stock at the end of the month too. Perhaps they did underestimate the us market quite a lot, it seems they're being slow to re stock to a significant level.
