PlayStation

As the arthritis that’s slowly eating away at our typing fingers evidences, Sony never refuses the opportunity to attend a convention or gaming show. Fresh from announcing PlayStation Now at CES 2014 this week, the platform holder is now taking its carnival of crazy on the road to the Taipei Game Show, where it will be bringing a catalogue of content thicker than a telephone directory. As is often the case, it’ll be the only console maker in town, as neither Microsoft nor Nintendo are showing up.

So, what can you expect to see in the manufacturer’s booth? Well, the firm promises that it will have a whopping 24 next generation titles on display, ranging from Resogun right through to Diablo III. The handheld lineup is just as meaty, with God Eater 2, Freedom Wars, and Soul Sacrifice Delta all putting in appearances. The latter two will be playable on traditional PlayStation Vita consoles, as well as PS Vita TV devices. Meanwhile, the Japanese giant will demoing a slew of current generation games, too, including MLB 14 The Show and Gran Turismo 6.

If that wasn't already enough, much like at E3 and GamesCom, the organisation will be holding a series of stage events with noteworthy developers such as Yakuza producer Toshihiro Nagoshi and Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi. The event’s set to take place between 23rd and 27th January in Taipei’s roomy World Trade Centre. Does someone want to buy us a ticket? Nope, didn’t think so.
