Tomb Raider

A sprightly Lara Croft is about to have the stuffing kicked out of her feeble frame yet again, as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is almost definitely coming to the PlayStation 4. Responding to rumours that washed up earlier in the week, Square Enix has hinted that the re-release will be announced during next month’s VGX Awards.

“It’s so hard to keep a secret these days,” a spokesperson for the publisher sighed. “We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don't have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend that you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December.” The company may as well have just erected a neon ‘Tomb Raider is coming to PS4’ hoarding on Blackpool Tower.

Despite delusional estimates from publisher Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics’ reboot was a critical and commercial smash hit on the PlayStation 3. As such, we’re sure one or two of you will be tempted to revisit the title on Sony’s next generation machine. Poor Lara, meanwhile, is not necessarily looking forward to experiencing the holiday from Hell in a higher resolution.
