It’s been rumoured for an eternity, but MCV reports that an ‘Ultimate Bundle’ collating the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita is set to hit UK store shelves this year. According to the site, the platform holder has decided to lump the two systems together ahead of Christmas, allowing flush consumers to key into the entire Sony ecosystem with a single purchase.
Apparently, the push is part of a wider £2.5 million ($4 million) promotional pledge from the Japanese giant to reverse its handheld’s fortunes in Britain. A new television commercial will supposedly focus on the portable’s Remote Play features, as well as critically acclaimed exclusive Tearaway. The advertisements will supposedly employ the tagline ‘The Best Way to Play’.
“We’re really excited for the Vita as we move into Christmas,” said senior product manager Ben Law. “We’ve got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue, and the Remote Play service.” While sales have remained slow, there have been some great releases for the system this year. Let’s hope that the platform’s PS4 compatibility will act as a Trojan horse to get the device into more homes.

Well done Sony, although this bundle should of been out for the PS4 launch.
I've already purchased a Vita and have the mega bundle ready for pickup next week.
MY BODY IS READY
And they all said that we were mad for thinking of such a bundle way back into last year. HA I say. HA!
Well I hope much for this bundle, many of my friends who are on the edge for vita can pick this one instead
Too late. I bought my vita this week and will be getting my ps4 next week. Where and why was this not on offer ages ago. Plain stupid and lazy.
I got my Vita so long ago. They should call it the noob package and have lots of PG-rated acclaimed 1st party games bundled, and have a 1337 package with some hardcore R-rated games.
I also wish the DS4 design was akin to original Vitas, with chrome accents instead of the puffy rounded cheaper-on-purpose lite ones.
Remote play is a great feature! I wouldn't recommend COD ghosts online though, every time I try I get spanked 60% of the time every time.
Why is it that the UK is getting all of the bundles??
@RyoHazuki It's actually a very smart move. With the PS4 out in the wild, people have been testing remote play and seeing that the feature actually works without the need for custom firmware.
That will cause the bundle to look far more enticing to people who've been eyeing a Vita, because they now know that it's most enticing feature is no longer a wet dream.
I'm curious to what the price will be. This is the perfect opportunity for Sony to make some Vita sales. I don't think a bundle at $600 is appealing to large scale of people, and $500 is almost too good to be true.
The only question is price.
@BornOfEvil yes but you miss the point. they would have sold a whole load more vita if they had bothered to offer this two months ago. it was lazy
@RyoHazuki How the hell was it lazy? Because clearly making a new console is soo easy. I mean screw them right? Lol.These ungrateful gamers never cease to amaze me
Sony should have taken the hit and included a voucher for a vita in every ps4 box, for the first year at least. More people with vita, means more vita games sold, which means more vita games made.
This should have been a launch bundle and not one coming after that
@Shellybird27 lazy because it was a massive opportunity to boost sales of the vita? How can it not be lazy. they update the vita to include a ps4 link app before ps4 release but don't even bother to think to bundle the complimentary handheld console until after launch? Yes. Lazy. I ain't ungrateful whatsoever. Lazy is my genuine unbiased assessment of their marketing decisions on the late release of this obvious bundle. Its the only complaint I've had about the entire launch process. Lazy.
I will get this if:
1. It comes to the US
2. If the Vita is the original
3. It's not $600 (well........ not when it comes out)
