While the PlayStation exclusive content in next week’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will allow you to further the narrative of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation’s protagonist Aveline, you’ll be able to re-explore the origins of the heroine’s story early next year in the high-definition port of the former PlayStation Vita exclusive.
Posting on the North American PlayStation Blog, producer Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov confirmed that the spin-off will be switching its costume on Sony’s current generation console from 14th January in the Land of the Free. The enhanced re-release will include overhauled visuals, tweaked missions, and more. It’ll set you back just $19.99.
We enjoyed the latest handheld instalment in Ubisoft’s historical series, but thought that it lacked polish in a lot of areas. Hopefully the developer’s managed to tidy up the title ahead of its second spell in the spotlight. Whether you’ll be in the mood for more Assassin’s Creed after eighty hours of Black Flag, though, remains to be seen.

only $20? that's good news. I traded this game in after it left a bad taste in my mouth. The story, bad audio, and some of its gameplay was weird.
I really need to finish Liberation on Vita before PS3, so I can compare them and try out the new Persona missions
Didn't play the original, but at only $20, it seems like they're gonna come out with an AC HD collection including it. Or something. I'm also scared that its gonna become part of the IGC right after we buy it for the same reason. ...And if we all ever get VitaTV, what would be the tangible difference between an HD Liberation and regular Lib pumped up to HD? "Tweaked missions" I guess...?
@charlesnarles it will be HD port at the least different
I'm afraid most will postpone next vita Ac because of this...
For $20 I'd say it's a good buy for big AC fans. From a pure gameplay perspective, III was better, but I thought Aveline was a much more interesting character than Connor and the gameplay in Liberation is good enough to warrant a playthrough or two to get her story.
this should be a pack in w/ AC4 preorders or something on PS3/PS4.
Also, it should be on PS4 period.
Silliness. I'd buy it for PS4, bc i don't have PS3 or vita...
