Ubisoft has confirmed that its achingly beautiful action RPG Child of Light is coming to both the PS3 and PS4 in 2014.
Built using the UbiArt game engine, Child of Light is the brainchild of Far Cry 3 director Patrick Plourde and takes influence from Japanese RPGs. It stars a princess called Aurora who is trapped in a dream-like world. According to its developer the game is designed to look like art in motion, a claim which is clearly evidenced by the lush trailer below.
A second player can join the action, assuming the role of a floating blue orb called Igniculus.

Art in motion is right. Wow. There are so many good games coming out I'm afraid I won't have enough time to play them all!
This seems similar thematically to Puppeteer, only w/ a sword instead of scissors. Not saying that's bad, only that I would be more impressed had Puppeteer not just come out.
Reminds me of No Kuni. Which is good
Looks good, I'm interested.
Looks interesting, but I really need more Gameplay to decided
I hope more people will send request to Ubisoft via Facebook, Twitter and e-mail encouraging them to also release Child of Light on the PS Vita. Can you imagine how gorgeous this game would look on Vita's beautiful OLED screen?
I agree the art style is super, but that combat .. hmm.. :S As @artemisthemp said, we'll have to wait for some more gameplay trailers to be revealed.
