You’ll have to be careful not to singe yourself on this brand new Deep Down footage, as the three-minute trailer is filled with a number of fire-breathing foes. Capcom has been promoting the PlayStation 4 exclusive hard at the Tokyo Game Show this week, with the title reportedly drawing some seriously long lines at the PlayStation booth.
The video shows off the futuristic and historical components that make up the dungeon crawler. Much like in the Assassin’s Creed games, you’ll assume the role of a character from the future, but will be able to travel through time by somehow reading memories. It’s in these medieval sequences that you’ll have the option to collaborate with up to three other friends, where you’ll slaughter mythical beasts such as the dragon depicted at the end of the clip.
The visuals don’t look quite as impressive as at the PlayStation Meeting earlier in the year, but we still reckon that the fire effects are step above anything else that’s currently announced for Sony’s next generation console. The platform holder is actually collaborating with the Japanese publisher on the technical side, so this is probably one that you'll want to keep your eyes on.

I reckon this looks pretty good. I'm not keen on the idea of randomly generated dungeons, but I can imagine that teaming up with friends to slaughter a bunch of monsters will end up being a ton of fun.
well day 1 for me
I can't wait to slaughter monsters and conquer dungeons with my friends.
Rofl "somehow" Games acknowledge that method of storytelling very strangely lately (CAT scanners, talking books, etc.)
But dang! This reminds me of Diablo 1 when you first find the quintessential knight armor and feel super badass. It also seems like a more cinematic MH experience, which has me salivating. Also actually dynamic surface appearance is an amazing feature. I keep getting more impressed the more I see. So worth $60!
Nope still not convinced Crapcom for the last time been down the toilet to my eyes.
The more co op the better. Also, the game looks amazing. I could do without the whole "future in the past thing" but eh.
one of my most anticipated games for sure
Okay, now I'm interested. And how good was that music?!
This looks very good it going to look very impressive when finished, i have a feeling the games going to be good, especially in co-op.
@ErnisDy I definitely see your point. I prefer the Fable approach though -where they hop around from time period to time period without the future protagonist.
