The Last of Us

As if the imminent onslaught of software wasn’t enough, Naughty Dog has hinted that we’ll get our first glimpse at The Last of Us’ inaugural add-on pack at some point later this month. Speaking as part of a Reddit question and answer session, creative director Neil Druckmann hinted that news is right around the corner.

“You should hear about it this month,” he told users. We know from the game’s season pass that the title will receive two multiplayer add-ons and a new single player chapter. It’s likely that this month’s announcement will focus on the former, but nothing has been confirmed. One thing that we do know is that the solo addition will feature returning characters. Who would you like to see make a comeback?

The studio also hinted that the ending to the survival horror opus was originally much happier. Without spoiling anything that does happen, game director Bruce Straley explained that the brighter conclusion “just didn’t feel right”. The outlet will be talking more about the title’s alternate endings at PAX.
