Ubisoft Would Like to Remind You That Watch Dogs Looks Great

I have the Wii U version pre ordered. I hope it looks good.

Said it once and I'll say it again - that Aisha Tyler trailer is how the PS3, 360, and Wii U versions will end up looking.

That said, it only looked bad because we're so used to seeing the game being shown on superior hardware.

the Wii-u version is barely going to look better than the PS3 or 360 version......its all going to be how good that touch pad is going to play out for it. I have it pre-ordered for PS4 and cannot wait to finally waste my life. I mean we are getting really spoiled this year, first GTA V than we get another insanely huge open world game in Watch Dogs....this is probably the biggest year of october/november releases in the past decade.

this trailer doesn't exactly allay any fears. To be blunt, after seeing GTAV in action, Watch_Dogs graphics don't impress me as much as they did.
That being said, I'm assuming here that this new trailer is the current gen (360, PS3, Wii U) version, simply because it absolutely does not look as good as previous gameplay, which we know has been shown running on PS4.
I preordered my PS4 in the Watch_Dogs bundle from Amazon, so I feel confident in what I'm getting, but I wish Ubi would just come out and plainly state, "This is the current gen version, what you've seen has been the next gen version."
And while I'm at it, I'd also like to see the PS4 version of AC4 compared to a PS3 version. Because while I think we've only ever seen the next gen version, I could be wrong. With all these cross-gen games, I really wish the publishers would be very clear about what product they are showing and what they are not...

@BarrettJChris so drop support for games that were originally developed for an audience of 80 million plus players to new consoles of 8 million and risk losing millions in revenue and possibly never see sequels......yes sounds smart.

I like the animations like hiding the gun behind your back. Anybody know how much the focus will be on driving vs the hacking stuff? Jw.

@get2sammyb It just occurred to me that games like this on or AC4 that are coming out on PS3 and PS4 should also both be playable on Vita via Remote Play. I mean if all PS4 games can do it, why can't these PS3 games? I don't see any reason why the PS3 versions shouldn't offer Remote Play. What do you think?

I have the PS4 version pre-ordered but my anticipation for this game continues to drop. I've mentioned it before but it needs to be repeated, the game looked pathetic on Fallon's show and that was the PS4 version, supposedly the premier edition of the game. Maybe it will still be fun to play but fresh from playing GTA V I just don't think this is going to cut it. Hope I'm wrong but I'm seriously considering cancelling the pre-order and switching it to NBA 2K14.

The Aisha Tyler clip definitely looks like it comes from a current gen console. I'd be surprised if it's representative of how it runs on next gen.

@drumsandperc92 Well said. Best thing to do is get the PS4 versions of the games you want, that's what I'm doing, will sleep better at night....

@JaredJ I also pre ordered the Wii U version of Watch Dogs, because of the gamepad. It's tough making the call between PS4 and Wii U, there are benefits to each ya know. I think a game like Assassin's Creed 4- that one will end up being a PS4 buy for me, because they really didn't do squat with gamepad integration in AC3.
Plus AC4 is getting the extra Aveline content in the PS3/PS4 versions, so it's definitely the more appealing version.

The Aveline contnet is on X1 but not Wii U? That's a bit f'ed up imo.

@JaxonH @Gamer83 The Aveline content is exclusive to PlayStation platforms due to her game only being available on Vita. It won't be on Xbox 360/One or Wii U.

Yes, you're correct. I meant PS3/PS4 versions of the game- the Playstation versions. Yeah I own AC3 Liberation on Vita, got it right after it came out (well, right after they released a patch for that game-breaking glitch)
