For some, the PlayStation 4 doesn’t have a killer exclusive at launch. The likes of Killzone: Shadow Fall and DriveClub look great, but they’re not system sellers for everyone. That’s prompted some to lament inFAMOUS: Second Son’s Q1 2014 release window – but if a comment on an IGN Rewind Theatre is to be believed, you won’t be waiting long to play the superhero exclusive.

According to senior editor Greg Miller, the game is due out in February. This was supposedly confirmed during a live demo all the way back at E3 2013, which can be watched here. As mentioned, Sucker Punch has said that the title will release in Q1 2014, but hasn’t attached a more specific time period to the super powered excursion just yet.

While we wouldn’t consider this conclusive confirmation, February certainly makes sense. It’s clear that Sony’s hoping to use Delsin Rowe’s adventure to give its next generation system a fresh blast of momentum following its 15th November launch, and an early 2014 release for the platform’s most anticipated title would certainly help with that.
