Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Brings War to the Water

Posted by Push Square Staff

Ocean commotion

Forget about all of that free-running nonsense, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag looks like it’s going to be at its best when you’re engaging in combat on the ocean. This brand new video shows piratical protagonist Edward Kenway enjoying a spot of water-based warfare, as he takes down a couple of enemy boats and a fortress in the process.

Capturing these strongholds will not only allow you to construct custom defences against opposing ships, but will also open up the map and unlock new side-missions and more. This, of course, will allow you to further level up your boat, and transform it into a true nautical nightmare.

I couldn't get into the previous entries, but I'm becoming more interested in this with each passing day.

This would be so much better if they dropped all the "assassin/templar/abstergo" junk story and just made it a sailing pirate game.

Anyway, does anyone know if both the PS3 and PS4 versions contain the Aveline extras?
