Naughty Dog has announced on its Twitter account that it’s stomped the pesky autosave bug that has marred The Last of Us’ launch. The studio explained that the issue pertained to its local servers, and that there is no need to wait for an additional patch. All you need to do is quit to the XMB and reboot the game.
“It was on our server, so it's not specific to which version of the game, and no patch or title update is needed,” the studio said. That would certainly explain why the title played perfectly in a debug scenario, but has suffered from setbacks all day. Fortunately, you should be free to enjoy the experience as intended now.

great news...cos i m starting it later
That's good because I was going to spend some serious time with this game tonight. Bit odd that it was in relation to some local servers though? Does this game have cloud storage built into it or something? I don't see how servers would really effect saving unless somehow game saves are uploaded/downloaded
LUCKY GUYS!!.... . How i envy you.
@Leifoh93 You're the guy that had to wait 5 months was it not? ... I feel your pain:S
@LDXD It began when i let her play the unfinished swan. I was going back home after work and then i saw her playing that game:D
@LDXD atleast u have one
I'm putting my foot down on the relationship chatter.
Glad they fixed this so fast. It would be a shame to see such a great game trashed talked nonstop for days because of a simple glitch. :/
Problem though, I just tried a multiplayer round and it froze my system about a minute into the match. Bummer
@irken004 I'd think that that is just the PS3 - what games doesn't freeze up the entire system at some point?
@Slapshot True, and it has happened with Uncharted games before. Shame!
Luckily, I only lost about of hour of play time. I just started over which wasn't all that bad since the beginning is amazing.
Yeah, I got up to Bills and then got sent back to waaay before I met Ellie.
