While it’s definitely been interesting getting different developers’ perspectives on the PlayStation 4, the ‘Conversations with Creators’ series that Sony’s been running on the PlayStation Blog has failed to offer much meaningful footage. With E3 right around the corner, though, Evolution Studios has rectified that complaint, serving up a few glorious seconds of new DriveClub gameplay.
In the video, a number of developers from the Runcorn-based studio discuss the design behind the PS4 exclusive, and stress that this is absolutely not a simulation game. It’s all about the fun of racing cars apparently, which we can certainly get behind. Expect this to factor heavily during next week’s convention. Phew, it’s all starting to get a bit busy, isn’t it?

HYPE TRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM ABOARD!
Doesn't look much better than PS3
@SigourneyBeaver Man, I wish I had your PS3.
Sounds like Ridge Racer for PSV =). I hope there will be some single player campaign.
I still can't imagine this game on my shelf :/
Well that was rather... stunning.
This game looks amazing and best of all it's exactly the kind of racing game I been waiting for. You and your friends or people in your club can get together and have real racing tournaments. Even a good friend or cousin that lives far away from you can join your club and you can race with each other against different clubs. This game has so much potential it aint even funny.
I'm not a big racing fan, but DriveClub has me seriously hyped. I hope it does well, because it has a boatload of potential.
@SigourneyBeaver What kind of PS3 do you have?

All you need to see to be convinced.
I am excited for this. I am curious to see what the progression is like in the game.
@SigourneyBeaver Troll somewhere else... Or you need your eyes checked or you are one of the Nintendo army
Yeah looks great and definitely has a place alongside the GT series. I personally just hope that the controls lean towards sim rather than arcade, but I know others will disagree.
Hoping it straddles a fine line between Forza/GT and PGR/NFS.
