Deep Silver has cast a shadow over speculation that Metro: Last Light is coming to the PlayStation 4. Referring to a recent interview which seemingly confirmed a next generation version of the game, the publisher said that the meaning of creative director Andrew Prokhorov's words had been lost in translation, and that there’s not currently a PS4 edition of the shooter in development. Well, not yet, anyway.
“It is no secret that [developer] 4A Games do want to [...] investigate a PS4 version provided it makes commercial sense,” a company representative told Joystiq. “Although no development has started on any next-gen console versions [of Metro: Last Light], we have confirmed these hopes and ideas plenty of times before."
The firm added that “anyone expecting Metro: Last Light as a PS4 launch game is probably going to be disappointed”. Consider us already disappointed, Deep Silver. Still, at least we’ll have the PlayStation 3 version to ease our discontent. The title’s due out on 14th May in North America and 17th May in Europe.

Sounds like there is still a possibility that they will do a PS4 version, but honestly I don't care because the game was not designed with that hardware in mind, so what would it add?. Just glad that this series is finally coming to PS3! Yay!.
