"Red carpet and rebellion"

Quantic Dream will stretch the boundaries of gaming once again this weekend, as Beyond: Two Souls becomes the first ever video game to make its mark at the, er, Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. During the Saturday night showcase – scheduled to start at 19:00PM EST or 00:00AM BST – the Parisian developer will reveal an hour of footage from the title. The premiere will be followed by a Q&A panel with director David Cage, and actors Ellen Page, Kadeem Hardison, and Eric Winter.

“This has been a really intense and exciting experience for me, and one that I am extremely proud of,” said Juno star Page, who plays troubled protagonist Jodie Holmes in the game. “I’m excited to see everyone’s reaction to the extended scene we are going to be screening – and to feel the powerful emotion that David Cage instils in all his games.”

Beyond: Two Souls was specifically selected to play a part in the cinema celebration, which is impressive seeing as it’s, y’know, a video game. You’ll be able to watch the full showcase live on Push Square, as we’ll be streaming the full thing directly from the States. Check back on Saturday with a bag of popcorn if your interest is piqued.
