Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Wins the Award for Most Overdue DLC Ever

Posted by Sammy Barker

Online multiplayer add-on out this week

The oft-delayed expansion for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will finally fight its way onto the PlayStation Store this week. The add-on pack – which was announced all the way back in August – will incorporate online multiplayer and a new playable character named Wallace Wells into the digital download. The core campaign released all the way back in 2010.

Starting tomorrow, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to secure a 20 per cent discount off the DLC’s £3.99/$4.99 asking price. For those of you that don’t already own the title, you’ll be able to obtain a similar saving on the ‘Ultimate Edition’ version of the game. And, if you still don’t believe that the content’s real, point your perplexed peepers at the trailer embedded below.

I LOVED this game when it came out.
I was shocked to discover they hadn't released the online mode for PSN when I tried to play with friends a few months back.

Should be free though.

I may look into buying this so called 'Ultimate Edition'. The comic and movie are both great, but the game never really appealed to me... at least without online multiplayer.

I got the game when it 1st came out because I liked the film and I'm also old enough to remember when 8bit games were state of the art...at my grand old age of 31. Multiplayer sounds fun for it but I'm not paying out that much cash to be able to do it...the only game I play online is mass effect 3, and even that goes against my antisocial grain. If the Scott pilgrim Dlc was free I'd give it a shot.

I like it when companies support their old games. But unfortunately I have no need to play this game online. Now, what I would pay Ubisoft 5 dollars for is a patch that makes Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes remote playable on the vita...
