Sailing the seven seas

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita developer Double Eleven sure is busy these days. Not content with converting Frozen Synapse: Tactics to Sony’s systems, the UK-based studio has also been confirmed as the team behind the recently announced PlayStation Vita port of puzzle platformer Limbo. Chatting with Joystiq at GDC, Playdead’s CEO Dino Patti noted that he was excited about the title’s first “mobile launch”.

"This version of the game is for the first time being made externally," he told the website. "In the way we work there is normally no room for outsourcing, but the talented team at Double Eleven has convinced us that this is the right decision. Together we are working hard to give the mobile players exactly the same experience the PS3 players have had on the living room TV.”

There’s no word on when the title’s coming to Sony’s handheld, but Shacknews reports that the title won’t boast any additional content. Cross-platform play is also off the cards, but the game may be involved in an upcoming PlayStation Plus promotion.
