Indie Hit Hotline Miami Dials PlayStation 3 and Vita

Dennaton Games, the developers of the delightfully crude cult indie title Hotline Miami, have registered interest in the PlayStation 3 and Vita in the past – but now we have an announcement to go hand-in-hand with the studio’s enthusiasm. The two-man team’s revealed that it’s buddying up with Dutch outfit Abstraction Games to bring the 80s-infused gore 'em up to Sony’s hardware.

The pixelated murder-fest will launch in the spring as a cross-buy release, having already shifted over 300,000 copies on the PC. "Our team have been fans of Hotline Miami from the very start and we are absolutely thrilled to have such a brilliant game launch on the PlayStation platform," noted Sony’s Shahid Ahmad. "The intense visuals and pulsing soundtrack are perfectly suited for PS3 and Vita and we can't wait for PlayStation fans to see what Hotline Miami is all about."

The bloody beat ‘em up currently commands a Metacritic rating of 85, after scoring a string of perfect scores from outlets such as Giant Bomb and Eurogamer.net. You can learn a little more about the game courtesy of the trailer embedded below.
