Far Cry 3’s online experience will expand next year, when the title’s High Tides DLC washes up exclusively on PlayStation 3. The co-op expansion – which is due out in January – will add two new chapters to the existing campaign: Jailbreak and Redemption. These, according to Ubisoft Massive’s Meghan Watt, highlight “the hard work” that the studio’s invested into the component.

The add-on takes place directly after the conclusion of the mode's original six chapters. “These are the gang’s final moments, and we’re really challenging ourselves to go all-out,” Watt continued. “We’ve got new missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favourite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you’ve seen before. Can you tell we’re excited?”
