Keep calm, everyone

Do you remember Rainbow 6: Patriots? The stunning tactical shooter was first revealed a few years ago, with an incredible concept trailer that took plenty of inspiration from Heavy Rain. Sadly, the game’s been missing in action for a while now, prompting publisher Ubisoft to admit that development may have switched to next-generation platforms.

Asked by Polygon whether the title would appear on PlayStation 4 as opposed to the current PS3, head honcho Yves Guillemot revealed: “There’s a good chance.” Translated from executive speak, that means: “Yes, it will.”

Unlike other modern military shooters, Rainbow 6: Patriots will find you making ambiguous moral choices about the lives of civilians. The original trailer saw a single hostage being sacrificed in order to save thousands of innocent people on a busy bridge. "But that's what is interesting with the concept – being able to give a choice to the person who is playing," Guillemot said.

We wouldn’t be surprised if this ended up being a launch title for the new consoles – after all, it has been in development for a very long time.
