Hard to break down

It’s going to take one hell of a release to displace FIFA 13 from the top of the UK sales charts. Fresh from defending the summit from Resident Evil 6 last week, the soccer simulation has now successfully fought off Bethesda’s critically acclaimed fantasy adventure Dishonored too.

Despite being the most successful new IP of the year so far, Arkane Studios’ stellar stealth game was forced to settle for second position following its Friday release. It was joined by Capcom's conflicted survival horror shooter in fourth, and Just Dance 4 in sixth. Tasty sci-fi title XCOM: Enemy Unknown deployed in seventh, while Borderlands 2 and F1 2012 rounded out the rest of the chart.
