Open for business

Sony has finally launched the revamped PlayStation Store in the UK. The updated digital storefront was originally scheduled to arrive on 17th October, but was delayed due to slow loading and bugs.

We’ve now had a chance to test out the new look, and it definitely seems to organise content in a much more cohesive manner. However, loading times are still problematic, with the store itself taking at least 25 seconds to boot on our connection. Hopefully, that's something that will improve over time.

The platform holder announced yesterday that it had delayed the release of the redesigned PlayStation Store in North America. A spokesperson said that it would not set a new date until it was certain that an “exceptional experience” could be guaranteed.
