Metal Gear Rising Vita Cut Loose Due to Power Limitations

Sharp pain
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is not coming to PlayStation Vita because of hardware limitations, according to creative director Yuji Korekado. It may be the most powerful handheld on the market, but it’s still not competent enough to deal with Revengeance’s complex cutting technology.
“As of now we aren’t considering a Vita version. The reason is one of the main appeals of Metal Gear Rising is this option of the free cut,” Korekado told Eurogamer.net during GamesCom 2012. “That requires a lot of hardware power, which is only possible with the power of a PlayStation 3. So as of now, we haven’t contemplated bringing it to handheld consoles.”
It’s a shame, but Korekado’s comments make sense. Looks like you’ll just have to make do with playing this one on the couch.

I never expected HUGE games like Fall of Cybertron or MG Rising to come to Vita. But it is good news that the Vita is close to being able to handle the job and devs are giving it a long look. Hoping for scaled down versions of some of these games, preferably with 'Batman' in the title

Good news that Goodbye Galaxy Games, who isn't on the big list of developers, is developing a new game for PS Mobile and Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid, is considering developing for it, he could use your coaxing via Twitter tho (hint, hint)
AND, 100 PS1 titles will be available August 28
