In case you’d forgotten (we had), Metal Gear Online is set to shut down its servers forever today. The optional online component was shipped alongside Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in 2008, and has maintained a relatively engaged fanbase ever since. Our fondest memory of the mode was desperately trying to figure out how to register for a Konami account. Remember when the PSN was in the ghetto like that?

Never played it. Guess I never will. Don't feel particularly bad about that, either.
Lol! I hated having to set up that Konami account. I only played like 2 matches against some super team but I would've liked to give it another shot.
