Sony showed off the first single-player footage of God of War: Ascension during its E3 press conference this evening. The gameplay – which looked unsurprisingly impressive – showed Kratos experimenting with a vast arsenal of new weapons and abilities.
The demo also showed the titular hero repairing a fallen dock with a new tool embedded into his wrist. This allowed him to scale a nearby mountainside and come face-to-face with an enormous sea monster.
At the end of the demo, game director Todd Papy announced that God of War: Ascension is set to release on 12th March in North America. We're already counting down the days.

I have some how never got around to playing any of the GOW games that needs to change.
