Light up, light up

In somewhat surprising news, Warner Bros has announced that it’s rebooting Spy Hunter for the PlayStation Vita. The classic car combat title is set to make an appearance on Sony’s shiny new handheld this fall, courtesy of LEGO specialists TT Fusion.

Just like the 1983 original, the game will put you behind the wheel of the G-6155 Interceptor supercar, and challenge you to take down as many no-good terrorists as possible with a vast array of advanced weaponry.

Warner Bros’ Samantha Ryan said:

Spy Hunter’s classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita players a new, adrenaline-charged experience. Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customization with greater hand controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras.

The last Spy Hunter title, Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run, was a complete disaster, but we have higher hopes for this. Still, the announcement is making us lament the lack of a new Pursuit Force for Vita. Come on Sony, sort it out.
