The gift that keeps giving

Over the last year or so, PlayStation Plus has really blossomed into a must-own package. But Sony, it seems, is not resting on its laurels just yet. A survey picked up by IGN shows that the platform holder is evaluating the value of its premium package.

The 15-minute questionnaire quizzes readers on different elements of the subscription service, each offering different perks and bonuses. Regularity of updates and the quality of the giveaways are all elements examined, with options including free Call of Duty: Elite memberships and full Blu-ray games.

In response to the survey, Sony said that it has “nothing specific to announce at this time” but that PlayStation Plus continues to “delight gamers with free games, huge discounts and exclusive gaming features that can’t be found on other platforms”.

Personally, we kind of like PlayStation Plus as it is. If Sony is able to continue delivering the same quality giveaways it has been over the past 12 months, then we’re not convinced the service needs an overhaul at all. What do you think?
