Learn About the Origins of the Dinobots in Fall of Cybertron

How did the Dinobots get onto Cybertron? It’s a question we’ve been asking ourselves ever since the announcement of High Moon’s upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. It turns out not even brand overlord Hasbro has a canon origins story for the Dinobots – so High Moon decided to create one.
In a nut-shell, the Dinobots existed as a faction on Cybertron with different forms. However, at the start of Fall of Cybertron they’re captured by Decepticon Shocker, who creates a device which searches for life elsewhere in the galaxy. The machine discovers primordial Earth and, subsequently, dinosaurs, which Shocker decides to use as the basis for his experiments. He augments the Dinobots with dinosaur forms in exchange for some of their intelligence, and thus the popular faction is formed.
