First Yakuza 5 Screenshots Swagger Online

A lot has changed since the conclusion of Yakuza 4. Series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu is now working as a taxi driver, while his adopted daughter Haruka Sawamura has gone in pursuit of her dreams. One thing that hasn’t changed, though, is Shun Akiyama’s suit. That’s right, the recently revealed Yakuza 5 might take place a few years after its predecessor, but the jovial loan-shark is still wearing those cringe-worthy purple threads. What a guy!
SEGA’s revealed the first screenshots of the upcoming sequel on the franchise’s official website. Images focus on the game’s five character cast, and its new locations. It’s hard to discern any real improvements from the screenshots yet, but SEGA did confirm yesterday that the title is now running on a brand new engine.
Yakuza 5 is set for release later this year on PS3. Cross your fingers for a Western release.

@ShogunRok Me too! My hope is that they've developed this like Binary Domain, with a translation alongside the Japanese release. If that's the case, it could come out early next year. And I would scream like a little girl in excitement.
