Exciting

Grasshopper Manufacture may be hard at work putting the finishing touches to bonkers high-school zombie slasher Lollipop Chainsaw, but that’s not stopping the utterly insane studio from raising the curtain on its next project.

Entitled Killer is Dead, the title promises to blend the gameplay of Killer 7 and No More Heroes – though it is not a sequel to either. Apparently the action is sword-play based, but will feature “new elements” which are being kept a mystery.

The game will be fully revealed in this week’s Famitsu magazine, but early murmurs suggest that it features a “condemned” man in the protagonist role and will have an espionage theme. The game will apparently aim to showcase the “dark side of James Bond” and, naturally, will feature several beautiful women. You didn’t think gaffer Suda 51 was going to release a game without cleavage did you?

Killer is Dead is expected next year on PlayStation 3. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we’ve no idea how Grasshopper keeps getting these projects funded, but we’re absolutely thrilled that they do. Bring on the madness.
