It would appear publishers can’t release a fighting game without a cameo of some kind. Dead or Alive 5 is the latest tile to jump on the crossover bandwagon, with Virtua Fighter mascot Akira Yuki set to join the roster.

Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi said:

Gamers will have an opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable battle with an esteemed competitor in Akira Yuki set in the Dead or Alive environment.

If you’d rather see Akira in his natural habitat, don’t forget that Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is scheduled to release on the PlayStation Network later this year.
