Sports Champions was a smash for PlayStation Move

The PlayStation Move has played host to some great experiences – Sports Champions is still a favourite amongst the Push Square team – but it’s also had some real stinkers too. In a candid interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, new Sony Computer Entertainment UK boss Fergal Gara has admitted that the platform holder could, and probably should, have done much better with Move software:

What I’m thinking is that it’s better suited towards the casual market, certainly, but we also are pretty clear that we could have done a better job on the titles we’ve had and we’ve brought to market for the PlayStation Move.

As you’ve said, great tech, probably not so great applications so far. So there’s a job for us to do on the strength of games, and having seen what’s forthcoming gives me great hope that we can do a better job with Move as we look forward. So we’re certainly not forgetting about it.

Sorcery is set to kick start the PlayStation Move’s year in May. Given that it’s probably the most anticipated title in the peripheral’s relatively brief history, it seems like a solid start. Can we have Sports Champions 2 now please?
