Looks about right

Disgaea developer Nippon Ichi has announced a trio of new PlayStation 3 exclusive JRPGs for release in North America and Europe.

The first of the batch is internally developed action RPG The Witch and the Hundred Knights, which is due out in early 2013. Very little is known about the game itself, but it will feature full 3D environments and real-time combat. It also promises a darker, more mature presentation that is considered to be a “deviation from the silliness of Disgaea”.

It’ll be preceded by adventure title MugenSouls in the autumn. The game’s hook is its combination of “turn-based combat with free-roaming movement” and its vast array of recruitable party members. There’s more information (in addition to a seizure inducing trailer) available on the PlayStation Blog.

Finally, there’s top-down roguelike Legasista due out on the PlayStation Network in August. The post-apocalyptic dungeon crawler will see you forming teams of three characters and exploring randomly generated dungeons armed with “thousands of attack combos”.

Expect to learn more about all three titles in the coming months. For now we’ll divert your attention to the PlayStation Blog where there's a wealth screenshots, trailers and interviews to be digested.

Let us know whether you're excited for any of these titles in the comments below.
