Sony’s put out some amazing ads over the years. But it’s also done some pretty terrible ones. While we assumed Sony would shoot for the obvious with its PlayStation Vita campaign, it’s actually cooked up something a little closer to its heritage. This is definitely a PlayStation 2 era commercial.
The European ad depicts a selection of regular day people in regular day situations, who quickly get transported into intense, game-like scenarios. We presume the message is designed to emphasise that wherever you’re playing, you can be transported to a different world through the power of PlayStation Vita.
Honestly, we like it. But we’re not sure how much of an impact it’s going to have on making people aware of what the PlayStation Vita actually is.
It’s nice to see Sony do something different though. We’re getting tired of all these super-obvious consumer electronics commercials.
Yesterday, Sony detailed its North American PlayStation Vita ad campaign, which uses the tagline "Never Stop Playing".

Smokes the US one.
Definitely better than the US ad but it doesn't tell me very much about the Vita. They should make a commercial that shows off the system and the games, not just a quick glimpse at the end.
