Emerging from the shadows

Naughty Dog’s announced a new co-operative mode for its PS3 exclusive blockbuster, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Unfortunately, beyond the name – Shade Survival – and an infuriatingly cryptic screenshot, the developer’s failed to share any specific details about the addition. Joystiq hypothesises that the mode might be about “making sure Drake and Elena stay out of the sun and wear proper sunblock while they're on holiday”. We can get behind that – as long as we get to apply said sunblock to a tanned Elena’s back. Drake can sort himself out.

The tease comes ahead of the scheduled release for Uncharted 3’s second Flashback Map Pack, which is due out on the PlayStation Store this week. Are you still playing Uncharted 3’s multiplayer? Are you excited for a new co-operative mode?
