Expect plenty of violence from The Darkness II.

With Binary Domain, Grand Slam Tennis 2 and the launch of the PlayStation Vita all vying for your cash — the publisher hopes that by releasing a demo for The Darkness II your money will gravitate towards its dark, comic-book inspired game.

It's unclear what The Darkness II's demo will contain at this stage, but publisher 2K Games has promised that North American players will get to sample something come January 24th. As usual, European players will have to wait an additional day for the PlayStation Network's January 25th update.

Everything we've seen of The Darkness II has been wonderfully gratuitous and gorgeously stylised. We were a big fan of the original The Darkness — but we're an even bigger fan of the sequel's art-style. We can't wait to check out the demo.
