The Silent Hill HD Collection's striking boxart only makes us sadder that the game keeps getting delayed.

The compilation — which collates HD versions of both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 — was scheduled to release on January 24th, after the game previously missed its November release date. Now retailers are indicating that the game might not arrive until as late as March 6th. Boo.

Konami's keeping schtum about the date change, but with Amazon, GameStop and Gamefly all updating their internal databases to reflect the change, we're not holding out hope for a return to Silent Hill this month.

Update @ 22:01PM GMT: Konami's confirmed the delay to Joystiq, promising that launch details for all three upcoming Silent Hill titles will be revealed later in the week. Impending Silent Hill games include the PlayStation Vita exclusive Silent Hill: Book Of Memories, PS3 title Silent Hill: Downpour, and, of course, the aforementioned Silent Hill HD Collection.
