Sony Bend's still got a surprise in store for Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

As such, no one's going to ding PlayStation Vita launch title, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, for not including some head-to-head action. That said, we're quite big on Uncharted's online action — especially in co-op — and we certainly wouldn't say no to some form of multiplayer mode in Drake's upcoming portable adventure.

Despite the game already being out in Japan, it's certainly something that developer Sony Bend appears to be eyeing. Chatting with Destructoid, one of the game's developers supposedly told the website that we should "expect something different" on the multiplayer front, and that an official announcement is incoming.

Don't expect a full-on competitive multiplayer mode, but it certainly sounds like Bend's got something up its sleeve. The question is: what?
