Believe it or not, Konami was planning a revival of the Silent Scope series

FEAR 3 developer Day 1 Studios was signed up to handle development duties, but when the publishing deal fell through, the company was forced to lay-off a whopping 95 percent of the team involved with the project.

There hasn't been a Silent Scope game since 2002's internally developed PlayStation 2 effort. That was nearly ten years ago.

Day 1 Studios is said to be working on a second project, albeit with a "significantly smaller" team. Our best to all those that lost their jobs.
